Best Gear meta for PvP in the New World New Patch

Looking for the best gear meta for PvP in the New World for the next patch, it's best to go with 8 Onyx gems on your armor and 5 elemental evolution gems on your weapon. This combination will provide you with the highest damage output, with the added bonus of having a higher uptime than split gem setups. Today we'll be discussing the upcoming gear meta for PvP, as well as exploring the use of split gems on melee weapons. As some players may know, the meta for the next patch is expected to consist of elementary versions with onyx gems. However, some have suggested that split gems on melee weapons may be able to counter this meta.

To determine if split gems are indeed effective

Assuming the target has 20 less resistance from 8 onyx gems, and we attack them for 1,000 damage with room glass, we'll be doing 1120 minus 20, which is 2024. So the total damage will be 896 with the split room and glass gems. With this setup, we do 40% of our damage as an element, so we'll do 600 slash and 400 element tools. 20% of 600 is 120, so we'll do 480 and full 400 elemental damage because we have zero resistance. The total damage will be 880, and if five room glass gems are on your armor, you can increase the elemental damage of your choice by 10, resulting in a total of 920. If the elemental type matches your achievement and room glass, you can squeeze out a bit more damage.

Duke Sloth's loadout

Duke Sloth consists of five onyx, three opals or elements or versions, and one physical aversion. The results indicate that any kind of melee damage other than void blade doesn't matter if they're using Opal or split gems; eight onyx is more effective.

So, what should players use?

Recommends sticking with Opal on weapons and going with 8 onyx on armor, with five elemental evolution. Although split gems might give better consistent damage because Opal is conditional, the uptime is really high, and players don't usually fight with full stamina for more than 2 seconds. Additionally, split gems have fewer conditions, but the enemy must have eight onyxes to do nearly the same damage as Opal and gemstones. Even with t3 gemstone, which is only like one gold, it will result in doing less than opal, and people will be using tier fives in walls.

In summary, the gear meta for PvP in the upcoming patch is expected to consist of elementary versions with onyx gems. While split gems on melee weapons may be able to counter this meta, the math indicates that Opal on weapons and 8 onyx on armor are more effective. Players can also consider using five elemental evolution to increase elemental damage. We hope this guide helps you decide which gem to use for PvP in New World!
