OSRS Herb Run, Barrows Minigame, and Nature Spirit Quest Guide for Region Expansion

This Old School Runescape guide will cover his herb run, the Barrows minigame, and unlocking the Nature Spirit quest to access a new chunk in the region.

First up is Trader Steve's herb run. He has 32 Grimy Ranarr Weeds and starts farming Toadflax seeds. After a few days, he has 200 Grimy Toadflax to sell for about 200k GP

Next, Trader Steve wants to tackle the Barrows minigame. To access it, you'll need to complete the Mourning's Ends Part I quest and teleport directly to the Barrows area with a Barrows Tablet from the Grand Exchange. Once you're in the Barrows, navigate through a series of tunnels until you reach the boss room. Here, you'll face off against the Barrows Brothers, a group of six powerful NPCs.

For gear, equip the best armor and weapons you can afford. For Magic, Mystic Robes, an Amulet of Fury, and a Staff of the Dead are recommended. For Melee, the best setup is a Dragon Scimitar, Amulet of Fury, and Barrows Armor. Bring a few Prayer Potions with you and restore your Prayer Points at an altar before each run. You can also restore your Prayer Points and Health with a Lumbridge teleport.

For combat, Magic is the most accurate setup against all the Barrows Brothers. However, the Rim Brother is particularly resistant to Magic, so you may want to switch to a Melee setup for this one. Finally, sell your runes for cash and use the money to buy an Occult Necklace and a Magic Shortbow Scroll for maximum profits.

Finally, Trader Steve needs to complete the Nature Spirit quest to unlock a new chunk in the region. To do this, unlock the Mortmeyer section of Mauritania by completing the Restless Ghost quest. Next, complete the Nature Spirit quest by collecting a few items and speaking to the spirit of nature in the Mortmeyer swamp. Once completed, you will unlock two tiles that are necessary to complete future quests.

While in the Mortmeyer swamp, take advantage of the money-making opportunities available. You can harvest Mortmeyer fungus, catch raw slimy eels, and kill barkblemish snails. All of these can be sold for a decent profit. Once you have the necessary items and have completed the Nature Spirit quest, move on to the Shades of Mortton quest. This quest requires you to have 15 Herblore and will grant you access to the Shades of Mortton mini-game.

Finally, to access the most important chunk of Mauritania, Darkmeyer, complete the Sins of the Father quest. This quest requires 77 Runecrafting, 60 Defence, and 60 Ranged. Once completed, you will gain access to the city of Darkmeyer and its many money-making opportunities. You can craft blood runes for a consistent two million per hour, earn two million per hour from Hallowed Zeppelker, and earn over two million per hour from Virus Thieving.

We hope this OSRS guide has been helpful for your journey through Morytania. With the right gear and strategy, you'll be able to make some serious money and unlock new chunks in the region. Good luck, adventurer!OSRS GP
