Path of Exile 2 skilled Gem, socket system and more infomation

Path of Exile 2 is an upcoming massive expansion of the popular Path of Exile game, set to be released in 2023. This exciting new expansion will feature a new 7x story campaign, as well as a shared end game and a fully overhauled skilled Gem and socket system.

Graphics and Animations:

Path of Exile 2 will feature 16 times more detail than the original game. This will come from engine upgrades and back-end optimizations, as well as new animations and environmental effects. Character models will also get an update, and all of the MTX you have purchased will still be compatible with Path of Exile 2.


New Ascendancy Classes:

Path of Exile 2 will feature 19 new ascendancy classes, including the Ranger's Survivalist, Beastmaster, and Tactician. The Survivalist will have an interesting dynamic with the skill tree, providing defensive and offensive options. The Beastmaster will be able to shape-shift and have powerful companions, while the Tactician will be able to use ax and sword melee abilities with a bow.


New Weapon Tags:

Path of Exile 2 will also feature two new weapon tags, the crossbow, and the spear. Crossbows will grant implicit attack skills, while spears will allow players to engage and disengage enemies.


New Gem Type:

Path of Exile 2 will also introduce a new type of gem called meta gems. These will be socketed into active gems and will allow you to turn all of your auras on or off with a single hotkey. Spell totem support will also be a meta gem.


Monster AI:

Path of Exile 2 will feature improved monster AI, with packs having more interesting patterns and patrolling areas as appropriate.


UI Improvements:

The character sheet in Path of Exile 2 will provide information that is better laid out and easier to find. There will also be a new skill gem stat screen.


Release Date:

Path of Exile 2 is currently slated for a 2023 release. We will likely find out more about the game at Exile Khan on July 29th and 30th in Auckland, New Zealand.
